About Us

Sutter Independent Physicians (SIP) is an independent physician association (IPA) serving the greater Sacramento area, including Sacramento, Yolo, and Placer counties, that has aligned and integrated its specialty network with Sutter Medical Group (SMG) to form Sutter Physicians Alliance (SPA). Both physician multi-specialty networks are strong affiliates of Sutter Health and Sutter aligned hospitals.

Note: This submission of interest is NOT authorization to render medical care to SIP patients. There are many phases of the membership participation process, which can be lengthy. To learn more, please contact a SIP contracting specialist.
